Announcement of measures to terminate services for users who infringe on intellectual property, such as copyright infringement and/or offenders under the copyright law, on the platform of Pao Pao Book Co., Ltd., the provider of the online novel platform [Enjoynovels]
Clause 1 Objectives
Pao Pao Book Co., Ltd. ("the Company"), as the provider of the online novel platform [Enjoynovels] ("the Platform"), recognizes the importance of protecting the copyright and intellectual property of rights owners, licensees, translators, compilers, publishers, and other rightsholders. The Company therefore issues this announcement to serve as a measure to prevent, suspend, and handle actions that may constitute copyright infringement on the system or network of the Platform, and to comply with the provisions on exemptions of liability for service providers under relevant intellectual property laws.
Clause 2 Scope of Application
This announcement applies to all types of users of the Platform, including but not limited to writers, translators, publishers, content publishers, general users, advertisers, and any person who inputs data into the system of the Platform.
Clause 3 Definitions
"Data" includes literature, novels, novel chapters, translated works, articles, cover images, illustrations, audio files, texts, reviews, comments, links, attachments, artistic works, sound recordings, musical works, audiovisual materials, cinematographic works, and/or all kinds of authored works, or any other electronic data that is uploaded, forwarded, published, or made accessible through the Platform.
"Copyright Infringement" includes any act that constitutes reproducing, modifying, publicizing, distributing, renting, uploading, or making copyrighted works accessible to the general public without permission from the rights owner or legally authorized person, regardless of whether it is for profit or not.
"Repeat Copyright Infringer" includes a user who has a behavior of being reported or detected committing copyright infringement more than once, whether the infringement is towards the same story or multiple stories, multiple chapters, multiple accounts, or multiple formats. The Company will consider this based on the facts and evidence that appear.
"Complainant" means a copyright owner, licensee, agent, general public, or authorized person who has the legal right to notify the Company to take action against data that may constitute copyright infringement.
"Respondent" means a user who uploads, publishes, or makes available the data that is complained against as potentially constituting copyright infringement.
Clause 4 General Principles
4.1 The Company is merely a provider of a platform, system, or technical tool for users to publish or access certain types of data.
4.2 The Company has no policy to support, promote, or consent to copyright infringement.
4.3 The Company reserves the right to investigate, suspend, delete, block, restrict access to, or take any other measures against data or user accounts when there is reasonable cause to believe that copyright infringement has occurred.
4.4 The Company announces the use of a measure to terminate services for users who are repeat copyright infringers and will strictly enforce such measure as appropriate to the case.
Clause 5 User Representations
5.1 Content uploaded or published through the Platform is content to which one has legitimate legal rights.
5.2 The use of such content does not infringe on copyright, trademark, privacy rights, or any other rights of third parties.
5.3 If it is a translated work, modified work, or content that relies on the rights of others, the user must have the right or be properly authorized before uploading it to the Platform.
5.4 The user consents to the Company investigating, suspending, or removing data from the system when there is a complaint or reasonable cause for suspicion.
Clause 6 Channels for Reporting Copyright Infringement

The notification must contain at least the following details:
Name and contact information of the complainant, with at least the following contactable information:
First-last name or juristic person name, and
Address and contactable telephone number, and
Identity verification documents or power of attorney documents (if any).
Details of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
Details of the location of the complained data, such as URL, story name, chapter name, user account name, or content code.
Explanation of how such data infringes copyright, which must contain sufficient details.
A certification that the information notified is true, and the complainant has legitimate legal authority.
Signature or electronic signature of the complainant.
Clause 7 Actions upon Receiving a Notification
When the Company receives a notification with sufficient information, the Company may take one or more of the following actions:
Temporarily suspend the publication of the data.
Block access to the data.
Remove the data from the system.
Suspend the upload or publication rights of the user account.
Temporarily suspend payment or compensation related to the complained data.
Preserve relevant data and digital evidence for investigation or use in legal proceedings.
Clause 8 Notifying the Respondent and the Right to Counter-Notice
In the event that the Company suspends or removes data, the Company may notify the respondent via email or registered contact channels, informing them of the reasons for the action and the right to submit a counter-notice along with evidence.
The respondent has the right to submit a counter-notice, with at least the following details:
Must present facts and evidence, such as:
License agreements
Translation license contracts or publication license contracts
Evidence of copyright ownership
Evidence showing that the complaint is inaccurate or incorrect
Must contain the name and contact information of the respondent, with at least the following contactable information:
First-last name or juristic person name, and
Address and contactable telephone number, and
Identity verification documents or power of attorney documents (if any).
Details of the complained data both before and during the complaint, such as URL, story name, chapter name, user account name, or content code.
A certification that the information notified is true, and the respondent has legitimate legal authority.
Signature or electronic signature of the respondent.
Clause 9 Measures against Repeat Copyright Infringers
If the Company considers that a user has a behavior as a repeat copyright infringer, the Company may take one or a combination of the following measures, as appropriate:
Issue a warning letter.
Suspend specific items of content.
Temporarily suspend upload or publication rights.
Temporarily suspend the user account.
Terminate the service or permanently close the user account.
Refuse new registrations or linked relevant accounts.
Take legal action or coordinate with rights owners, government agencies, or courts as required by law.
Clause 10 Specific Measures for the Platform
To protect the rights of copyright owners, the Company may use additional measures such as:
Suspend the opening of paid chapters for the complained story.
Temporarily suspend the withdrawal of income from the disputed story.
Suspend the display of the story on the search page, recommendation page, or promotional activities.
Use a duplicate text or duplicate upload detection system.
Request rights confirmation documents from the publisher before opening the work for commercial sale.
Clause 11 Bad Faith Complaints
If the Company finds that the complainant notifies false information, distorts facts, or uses the complaint process in bad faith, the Company reserves the right to reject the request, suspend the right to complain, or take legal action as appropriate.
Clause 12 Data Retention
The Company may retain data related to complaints, counter-notices, upload logs, IP addresses, edit histories, and other digital evidence as necessary for the benefit of investigation and legal proceedings.
Clause 13 Reservation of Rights
The Company's failure to take action in any one case shall not be deemed a waiver of the Company's right to take measures in other cases. The Company reserves the right to amend this announcement to be in accordance with the law, guidelines of government agencies, or changed service provision formats.
Clause 14 Effective Date
This announcement shall be effective from September 2, 2026.
